Theoretical physicists, Britain's Peter Higgs and Belgium's Francois Englert have been awarded the 2013 Nobel Prize for Physics.
Peter Higgs, whose work in 1964 predicted the existence of the Higgs boson. Last year researchers at the Large Hedron Collider announced they had discovered the particle, so ending the one of the biggest scientific hunts in history.
Belgian Francois Englert was the first to put forward the theory of the boson.
